Before automating a business workflow, map the exceptions

The normal path is the easiest part of an automation demo. A small exception map helps teams discuss the missing information, duplicate requests, and handoffs that shape everyday operation. Describe one task from start to finish Consider an internal request that arrives through a form, needs a document check, and ends with a record update. This is a hypothetical workflow, not a description of a Kaizenix deployment. Write down the trigger, the expected output, the systems involved, and the person accountable for the result. Keep the task narrow enough that someone can review the whole path without needing to understand every process in the organization. List the ordinary ways the task can stop Ask the people doing the work what they actually wait for. The document may be missing, a required field may disagree with an existing record, or a previous request may already be in progress. An integration may be unavailable. Capture each condition, the evidence used to recognize it, and what sh...

Create a small branch information sheet For each location, record the public business name, address, directions link, phone number, opening information, and person who can approve changes. Include services that differ by branch. Keep this sheet somewhere the responsible team can maintain it. Do not assume that two locations s...
